Jian grew up in Sichuan province, and obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Clinical Medicine from Luzhou Medical College, Sichuan. Then he went to the Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, Chongqing, to pursue his MD degree on Clinical Research, where he worked on the mechanisms of Sepsis and liver disease. After completing his MD, he became an attending physician in the Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery at the Affiliated Hospital of Southwest Medical University, Sichuan. He joined the Li Lab as a Postdoctoral fellow in August 2022, and his work is focused on mechanistic studies of nonalcoholic steatohepatitis and liver fibrosis. He loves going to the gym, listening to music and watching movies.
