Weitong grew up in Henan province, obtained her bachelor’s degree from Jiangsu Normal University in Xuzhou, majoring in biotechnology. She joined the Shanghai Institute of Nutrition and Health (SINH) to pursue her PhD studies and joined the Li Lab in 2018. Her project was focused on understanding the regulation of adaptive immune system in metabolic diseases, such as obesity, NAFLD, and type 2 diabetes (T2MD). She loves cooking and traveling.
