Jing grew up in Shandong province and received MS degree on pathology from Norman Bethune Medical School at Jilin University. After graduation, she worked in Huantai Hospital affiliated to Qilu Hospital in Shandong Province as a pathologist. In 2013, Jing Joined the Li Lab at Shanghai Institute of Nutrition and Health (Institute for Nutritional Sciences, Shanghai Institute for Biological Sciences), Chinese Academy of Sciences.
