Li Lianjia grew up in Dalian, Liaoning province and obtained his bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Engineering from Dalian University of Technology, Dalian, Liaoning. Now he is pursuing for his Master's degree in Biology and Medicine in Li Lab at Shanghai Institute of Nutrition and Health, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

He has a great passion for functional food research and development. His research project is focused on preparation, purification and functional evaluation of peptides. He is interested in working in a nutrition-related industry after graduation and to be a nutritionist.

It’s easy to get along with him. His Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is Extraverted, Sensing, Thinking and Judging (ESTJ). He is proficient in singing with a little talent and has some performance experiences. He also likes many kinds of sports, including running, basketball and citywalk. He enjoys watching NBA and Premier League in his spare time. His favorite basketball player is Kevin Durant and he loves watching Arsenal matches best.
