Xing Baofang grew up in Handan, a historical and cultural city located in Hebei Province, and obtained her bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Engineering from Nanjing Agricultural University. She then went to Shanghai Institute of Nutrition and Health, CAS and joined Li Lab to pursue her PhD studies in 2023.

She is interested in signal transduction and metabolic pathways as well as the pathophysiological mechanisms and therapeutics of metabolic diseases, including insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes, NAFLD, liver fibrosis and NASH. She is a kind, patient and helpful member who works well in team environments and tries her best to make Li lab a wonderful place.

She is optimistic, full of energy, and is always willing to try new things. In her daily life, she has broad hobbies and is really into all kinds of art, such as singing, visiting exhibitions, playing the guitar, watching movies and reading film reviews. She likes hip-hop and goes dancing every weekend. Moreover, she loves travelling with her camera and snapping beautiful sceneries in her free time.
